Telangana meet: Renuka Chowdhury left red-faced after being invited

In a meeting over Telangana on Sunday, party leaders had requested Chowdhury to come, but when she arrived, her presence was questioned by many like MP Ponnam Prabhakar and former minister R Damodar Reddy.
"Renuka Chowdhury's anti-Telangana stand is well-known. I don't know why she came for the meeting when no one invited her. When thousands had committed suicide for the cause of Telangana, she had said the deaths were due to cancer," said Prabhakar.
To add to the embarassment of the leader, her comments on Telangana leaders being "Goonda" elements was dragged and she had to leave in a flurry, despite the senior leaders tried to patch up the entire situation. Not only that, she was also asked to apologise for coming to the meeting uninvited. While she did not do that, she was completely ignored by the leaders during their discussions.
Chowdhury had allegedly distanced herself from the Telangana movement, although she belongs to Telangana and represented Khammam in the last Lok Sabha.
