Telangana Braces For Week Of Heavy Rain As IMD Issues Thunderstorm Alert Till July 4

Telangana is set to witness a spell of widespread rain and thunderstorms over the coming week after the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad issued a yellow alert across the state. The warning remains in effect until Saturday, July 4, with forecasts indicating rain, lightning and gusty winds in several districts.

IMD Issues Yellow Alert Across Telangana

According to IMD Hyderabad, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, rain and squalls are likely across Telangana over the next seven days. The weather department has advised residents to remain cautious as changing weather conditions could affect daily activities and travel.

The yellow alert will stay in force until July 4. The expected rainfall is also likely to bring down daytime temperatures further across the state.

Temperatures Continue To Fall

Recent weather data released by the Telangana Development Planning Society shows a noticeable drop in temperatures. Sangareddy recorded the state's lowest maximum temperature at 28 degrees Celsius on Saturday.

In Hyderabad, Khairatabad registered a maximum temperature of 30.6 degrees Celsius, reflecting the cooling effect of the ongoing monsoon activity.

Hyderabad To Witness Rain Till July 1

The weather department has forecast rain and thundershowers in Hyderabad until Wednesday, July 1. A generally cloudy sky is also expected during this period as monsoon conditions remain favourable.

Authorities have advised residents to monitor weather updates, particularly while planning outdoor activities or commuting over the next few days.

Weather Enthusiast Predicts Scattered Storms

Independent weather enthusiast T. Balaji, known for his accurate weather forecasts, has also predicted scattered thunderstorms across Telangana.
