Telangana BJP Leader T Raja Singh Resigns, Reports Say He Was Unhappy With Central Leadership's Decision
Telangana BJP leader T Raja Singh has resigned from the party. T Raja Singh is also MLA from Goshamahal, and this move comes in response to the central leadership's decision to appoint Ramchander Rao as the new state BJP chief. Raja Singh expressed his discontent with this decision, describing it as a "betrayal" to numerous party workers who have been loyal supporters.
Raja Singh addressed his resignation letter to G Kishan Reddy, the Telangana BJP chief. He emphasised that this leadership change could jeopardise the BJP's prospects of forming its first government in Telangana. "This decision has come as a shock, not just to me, but to lakhs of karyakartas, leaders, and voters who have supported the BJP," he wrote.

Commitment to Hindutva Ideology
Despite stepping away from the party, Raja Singh remains steadfast in his commitment to Hindutva and serving his constituency. He assured that his dedication to these principles would continue unabated. "I will continue to raise my voice and stand with the Hindu community with even greater strength," he stated in his letter.
The MLA also made an appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior BJP leaders. He urged them to reconsider their choice of state leadership for Telangana. His resignation highlights internal disagreements within the party regarding its direction and leadership choices.
Impact on Party Dynamics
This resignation is seen as a setback for the Telangana BJP at a crucial time. The party was gearing up for potential electoral success in the state. Raja Singh's departure underscores tensions within the party ranks over strategic decisions made by its central leadership.
Raja Singh concluded his resignation letter with patriotic sentiments, signing off with "Jai Hind. Jai Shri Ram." His departure raises questions about how this might affect BJP's standing among its supporters in Telangana.
