From the domain of literature and education, Prof Shiv Kumar has been recommended for Padma Vibhushan, Dr Turlapaty Kutumba Rao for Padma Bhushan and Prof Vajja Sambasiva Rao, Koveta Suprasan-nacharya, Bhasayam Vijaya Saradhi and Prof Kolakaluri Enoch for Padma Shri.
Badminton player Pullela Gopichand has been proposed for Padma Bhushan in the field of sports.
Over 16 doctors have been recommended for Padma Shri awards.
From the art section, Nedunuri Krishna Mur-thy (music) has been recommended for Padma Bhushan.
For social work, names of four people including Dr Rama Rao Anumolu, Ramklumar Goel, Uma Rani Padmanabhan and Dr Babu Rao Varma have been recommended.
