One-Month Traffic Curbs Announced In Hyderabad From January 15; Check Diversion Routes

Hyderabad Traffic Police have issued a one-month traffic advisory beginning January 15 due to ongoing construction work on the elevated corridor between Malakpet Fire Station and Yadagiri Theatre.

Restrictions will remain in place throughout the construction period, with commuters urged to plan their travel accordingly as congestion is expected on key stretches.

Stretch closure and traffic impact

As part of the construction activity, one side of the Saidabad Y Junction to IS Sadan road, in the direction of Dobhighat, will remain closed. Authorities have advised the public to avoid the stretch between Nalgonda X Road and Owaisi Hospital at the DMRL Junction, warning that traffic volume is likely to increase significantly in this area during the restriction period.

Diversions for four-wheelers and heavy vehicles

Four-wheelers, RTC buses and heavy goods vehicles travelling from Nalgonda X Road towards Saidabad Y Junction, Santosh Nagar and IS Sadan will be diverted. The alternative route will pass through Saidabad Y Junction, DCP South East Zone Office, Saidabad Law and Order Police Station, Saraswathi Nagar Kaman, Sankeswar Bazar, Indian Petrol Bunk, Singareni Colony and Onus Robotic Hospital, proceeding towards Champapet. Vehicles will then take a U-turn at Champapet X Road to reach IS Sadan.

Routes for two-wheelers and three-wheelers

Two-wheelers and three-wheelers moving from Chanchalguda towards IS Sadan will be diverted at Saidabad Y Junction. They will travel via Saidabad Law and Order Police Station, 105 Bus Stop, Ramalayam Kaman, Laxmi Nagar, Biscuit Factory and Dobhighat Junction before joining IS Sadan Main Road.

Those heading from Chanchalguda towards Champapet will also be diverted at Saidabad Y Junction. Their route will include Saidabad Law and Order Police Station, 105 Bus Stop, Ramalayam Kaman, Laxmi Nagar, Vinay Nagar and Bharath Garden, before continuing towards IS Sadan and Champapet Main Road.

RTC bus diversions announced

RTC buses travelling from Chaderghat towards IS Sadan and Champapet will be diverted at Nalgonda X Road. The revised route will pass through Malakpet Gunj, Moosarambagh X Road, Gaddiannaram with a U-turn, Gaddiannaram X Road, Shiva Ganga Theatre, Hanifiya Mosque near Saroornagar Lake, Indian Oil Petrol Bunk, Singareni Colony and Champapet Main Road.

District TGSRTC buses and heavy vehicles operating between MGBS, Chaderghat, IS Sadan and Champapet will also be diverted at Nalgonda X Road. These vehicles will be routed via Malakpet Gunj, Moosarambagh, Dilsukhnagar, Kothapet and LB Nagar Chowrasta.

Traffic police have appealed to commuters to follow the diversion signs, allow extra travel time and cooperate during the construction period to ensure smoother traffic movement across the affected zones.
