No problem between TDP and BJP: Chandrababu Naidu

on Saturday rubbished speculation that cracks were developing in the alliance between his party and the

, saying on a news channel that everything was fine.

The former convenor of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and chief minister of Andhra Pradesh said there was confusion prevailed over some seats in the Seemandhra region where the TDP fielded candidates for the upcoming assembly election despite giving them to the BJP.

Naidu said the TDP would not withdraw from the NDA and rather withdraw its candidates from the seats given to the BJP. He also said that the TDP suspended two candidates who refused to withdraw from two seats, adding that his party would try all-out to ensure win for the BJP candidates.

The TDP had fielded candidates in the assembly seats of Santhanuthalapadu, Tadepalligudem and Gooty despite having a given them to the BJP in a seat-sharing agreement. The candidates were not withdrawn even after the deadline expired.

Naidu added that the TDP had no issue with the BJP over the chief ministerial candidate for the Telangana region in case the alliance emerged victorious. He said the TDP is the main party in these parts while it is backing Modi at the national level.

Naidu also rubbished reports about his differences with Pawan Kalyan, the Telugu superstar who recently floated his own party Jana Sena and pledged support for Narendra Modi.
