Narendra Modi on hitlist, reveal militants arrested in Chittoor

With the arrests, Tamil Nadu police busted a gang of suspected terrorists, including its leader ‘police Fakruddin', who carried a cash reward of Rs 15 lakh on his head and have been the police of of four states for twelve years. While Fakruddin was arrested along with two aides on Friday evening.
While one plot had been hatched to target the Brahmotsava festival in Tirupati, police suspect that another plan might have been made to target a book-launching ceremony in Chennai on October 18. Modi is due to be present as the chief guest at the event where a book by former Union minister Arun Shourie will be unveiled.

The suspects were arrested from a house in Putthur on Saturday in connection to recent murder of a BJP leader in Salem and planting of a pipe-bomb along the route of LK Advani's Rath Yatra in 2011. The bomb was detected just hours before Advani's convoy was to pass.
The anti-terror operation involved the highly-skilled OCTOPUS anti-terror unit for the first time.
