Hyderabad, Jan 6: A chemical factory in Nalgonda in Andhra Pradesh caught fire on Monday afternoon. It caused massive amounts of thick smoke in the air.

At least six fire brigades rushed to the spot and have been trying to douse the fire. Over 100 employees were working inside the factory when it caught fire.

14 reactors blasted at Sriam Labs when methanol was being unloaded

According to sources, all employees have been shifted to a safe place. No injuries have been reported yet. However, substantial damage to property has been reported.

Sources informed that 14 reactors blasted at Sriam Labs when methanol was being unloaded. The factory is located at Bibinagar near Bhuvangir in Nalgonda.

Initially many feared that the fire was spreading towards the other nearby companies, but six fire engines were able to bring the blaze under control.
