KT Rama Rao Accuses Congress Of 'Destroying' Regional Parties, Urges Party To Take Cue From Poll Defeats
KT Rama Rao, the working president of Telangana's Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), accused the Congress of being "hellbent on destroying regional parties" in a social media post on Saturday.
He also remarked that the election results highlighted how national parties like the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) depend on regional parties.

The results for the Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly elections were announced alongside those of bypolls to various Lok Sabha and legislative assembly seats.
KT Rama Rao criticised national parties, accusing them of "piggybacking" on the achievements of regional parties and urging them to acknowledge the "writing on the wall."
"The writing is on the wall! Today's Maharashtra and Jharkhand election results have sent a clear message: Regional parties have always been and will continue to be the future of Indian politics. Congress party fails to become a strong opposition but is hellbent on destroying regional parties. This has become a recurring theme," he said in his post.
He further stated, "I reiterate, BJP is surviving only because of Congress's inability and incompetence. Both the national parties are shamelessly piggybacking on regional parties' hard work and commitment."
Additionally, he called on Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of the Congress to honour the promises made to the state's citizens.
"Also, a word of advice to CM Revanth Reddy. Your campaigns, speeches, bags and choppers couldn't save your party from utter failure, now can you focus on your primary duty as the CM and deliver the six guarantees that you promised to Telangana public more than a year ago," he added.
