Hyderabad Woman Drugged By Colleagues, Raped; 2 Arrested
The cops have arrested two people, workers from a leading real estate company, for allegedly raping their female colleague after spiking her drink. The incident occurred on June 30.
The accused are identified as Sanga Reddy (39) and Janardhan Reddy (25). They are accused of taking the victim for a site visit on June 30 to Yadadri from her hostel, a report from The Times of India claimed citing initial investigation.

On their way back to Hyderabad, they stopped the car near an under-construction building around 10:30 pm, claiming the vehicle had broken down. Then they offered food but she refused to eat it. Then, Janardhan offered her a soft drink and a sweet. Shortly after consuming them, the woman began feeling dizzy.
She thought that she might have been dizzy from not eating food. "The two took advantage of this, stripped her, touched her inappropriately, raped her, and even beat her," the police officer told the daily. The 26-year-old woman was tortured until 3 am on Monday, the report claimed.
They left the woman outside a private hostel in Miyapur after the crime, police said. While a zero FIR was initially filed at Uppal police station based on a complaint by the survivor, the case was subsequently transferred to Miyapur police station as the crime occurred under the latter's jurisdiction.
The accused have been booked under IPC sections 376 (rape), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 509 (insulting modesty of woman) and 420 (cheating), Miyapur SHO V Durga Rama Linga Prasad said. "The survivor has been sent for medical examination," he added.
