Hyderabad Will Become Bhagyanagar If BJP Comes To Power: Yogi Adityanath In Telangana
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said that if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) comes to power, Hyderabad will be renamed as Bhagyanagar.
"Congress made Hyderabad what it is today, BJP will make Hyderabad Bhagyanagar again. Goddess Bhagyalaxmi is here and we are committed to naming the city after her. This will be our party's gift for all the Ram Bhakts in Telangana," News18 quoted Adityanath during the rally in Kumuram Bheem Asifabad district.

The UP CM had given the same call in 2020 during the municipal elections polling where he had stated that Hyderabad should be renamed Bhagyanagar.
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister further alleged that the "Muslim reservations" in Telangana are an insult to the Constitution made by Dr B R Ambedkar.
He stated said the reservation to Muslims is "unconstitutional" and it should not be allowed to be implemented at any cost. "But, both the BRS and Congress want to take the country towards a new division," he alleged.
"Dirty game of appeasement politics can be seen in Telangana now. We have seen in Telangana to what extent a government can go to divide the society when the BRS government announces Muslim reservation," Adityanath said.
He claimed the the concept of "Muslim reservations" a conspiracy to deprive the SCs, STs and BCs of their rights, and is a disrespect to the Constitution crafted by Dr BR Ambedkar.
Urging the people to support the BJP in Telangana, he stated that, if elected, the saffron party would eliminate the "unconstitutional" religious reservations and extend the benefits to OBCs, SCs, and STs.
Yogi slammed Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and said the state government has cheated youth, farmers and women by not fulfilling the poll promises made to them.
