Hyderabad Rains: The India Meteorology Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert regarding Hyderabad weather forecast. According to the weather monitoring department, Hyderabad will continue to have a cover of clouds, and light rain or drizzle is expected.

The yellow alert has been issued for Hyderabad as the city may experience maximum temperature around 26 degrees Celsius, while the minimum could drop to 23 degrees Celsius.

Hyderabad Rains Hyderabad Weather Forecast

Hyderabad has been experiencing continuous rainfall, leading to severe flooding in Telangana. Roads are submerged, and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has been actively assessing the situation in various areas. Rescue operations are ongoing to provide food and essential supplies to affected residents.

Weather Forecast and Alerts

According to the weather department, Hyderabad may experience light to moderate rains or thundershowers over the next two days. Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) are also likely in various parts of the city. The weather might see light rain turning into rain and thundershowers next week, with temperatures potentially falling to 21 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, Telangana's Chief Minister Reddy has urged the Centre to declare the floods a natural calamity. However, Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy stated that it cannot be declared a "national calamity" as requested by the state government but assured that all possible assistance would be provided.

Government Response and Assistance

The Union Minister advised the Telangana government to utilise the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) for immediate relief efforts. He mentioned that Central teams would visit Telangana to assess the damage and additional funds would be allocated based on their reports.

"It's (national calamity) not there anywhere... We are helping. Whatever is the name (of calamity). We have to provide relief to people and help them," he told reporters, quoted PTI.

"The SDRF is with the state government. They should spend that fund and help people. The Central government's teams will come to Telangana and undertake spot visits. We will give additional amounts on the basis of their report," the Union Minister said.
