Hyderabad Power Cut Today (March 3): TGSPDCL Announces No Electricity In Ameerpet Affected Areas

A scheduled Hyderabad power cut has been announced by Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana for today (March 3), with several areas in Ameerpet set to face temporary electricity disruption due to maintenance work on key feeders. The shutdown will affect both residential colonies and commercial establishments during the afternoon and evening hours.

Officials stated that the Hyderabad power cut in Ameerpet will be carried out in phases under the Janapriya and Maithrivanam substations. The maintenance activity is aimed at strengthening the local distribution network and preventing unexpected technical faults in the coming months.

Hyderabad Power Cut Timings and Areas in Ameerpet

Under the Janapriya Substation, power supply will remain suspended from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. The affected areas include B.S. Puri Colony, Sultan Nagar, Kanthirav Nagar, Navraj Nagar and Netaji Nagar.

Meanwhile, the Maithrivanam Substation will witness a longer interruption from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Areas impacted include Aditya Enclave, Aditya Vindhya Block, Kummariguda, Imroz Hotel Lane, Anand Bazar Lane, Kings Corner, Kakatiya Mess, Delta Chambers and the Ameerpet Main Road stretch.

Why Has the Hyderabad Power Cut Been Announced?

The Hyderabad power cut has been scheduled to facilitate feeder-level maintenance in densely populated and high-demand zones of Ameerpet. Officials said the temporary shutdown is necessary to ensure smoother and more reliable electricity supply in the area.

Advisory for Residents

As Ameerpet is a major education and commercial hub in Hyderabad, the outage may impact coaching centres, IT training institutes, hostels and retail outlets. Residents and businesses are advised to charge essential devices in advance, keep backup lighting ready and plan important activities outside the outage window.

Power supply is expected to resume as per the announced schedule once the maintenance work is completed.
