Hyderabad Man Finds Bugs In Chicken Biryani Ordered From This Restaurant

A shocking discovery has left customers outraged after a man found bugs inside his chicken biryani ordered from Mehfil Biryani, a restaurant in Hyderabad's Kukatpally. Sai Teja, the customer, took to social media to share photos of the contaminated food, which revealed maggots in the chicken pieces.

Teja reported the incident to Swiggy, the food delivery platform, and tagged the Telangana Food Safety department (@cfs_telangana) for intervention.

Although Swiggy apologised and offered a partial refund, Teja was unsatisfied with the response and warned others on social media to avoid ordering from Mehfil Kukatpally.

The incident has sparked concerns about food safety and quality control in the city's food delivery scene. Many users shared similar experiences of finding unexpected objects in their food, including sharp plastic and aluminum foil. Some questioned whether a refund of Rs. 64 was sufficient compensation for consuming potentially harmful items.

Despite Swiggy's initial response, Teja was eventually contacted by a customer service representative and received a full refund. The incident highlights the need for greater accountability and action from food delivery platforms and restaurants to ensure customer safety and satisfaction.

Mehfil Biryani is owned by renowned stand-up comedian Zakir Khan, adding an extra layer of surprise to this disturbing discovery.
