Hyderabad Drug Network Busted: STF Raid on Doctor’s Home Uncovers Major Narcotics Hub

Telangana's Excise Special Task Force (STF) busted a major narcotics racket in Hyderabad after raiding the rented residence of a post-graduate doctor. The operation revealed that the doctor's home was being used as a central hub for a drug trafficking network spanning across the city.

Doctor's House Turned Into Drug Den

The STF's B team conducted the raid at John Paul's residence in Hyderabad's Musheerabad area, seizing six varieties of high-value narcotics worth approximately Rs 3 lakh. Paul was arrested during the operation, while his three alleged accomplices remain absconding.

According to STF officials, Paul was not just a consumer but had also joined the trafficking network to support his addiction. "A consumer of drugs, Paul joined the trafficking operation to finance his habit," an STF official said.

The Network Behind the Operation

Investigations revealed that Paul had teamed up with three friends - identified as Pramod, Sandeep, and Sharath (also known as Saratulu). The trio used his rented house as a discreet and safe base for their illegal activities.

Authorities confirmed that the Musheerabad residence was more than a storage site - it served as the primary distribution point for the city-wide drug network. "The investigation confirmed that Paul's rented house was not merely a passive storage location but the primary distribution point for the syndicate," officials said.

Drugs Sourced from Major Cities

Pramod, Sandeep, and Sharath reportedly sourced large quantities of narcotics from Delhi and Bengaluru. The substances were then delivered to Paul's residence, where he stored and sold them to clients identified by the group. In exchange for allowing his home to be used as the central drug hub, Paul was permitted to use the drugs free of cost.

High-Value Narcotics Seized

Acting on precise intelligence, the STF raided the premises and was shocked by the scale and variety of drugs discovered. The seized items included 26.95 grams of OG Kush, 6.21 grams of MDMA, 15 LSD sticks, 1.32 grams of Cocaine, 5.80 grams of Gummus, and 0.008 grams of Hashish Oil.

Authorities said that further investigation is underway to locate the absconding accused and dismantle the remaining network operating in Hyderabad.
