Hyderabad: Doctor found dead in his car

Hyderabad, Aug 26: A 62-year-old doctor, working with a private hospital was found dead on Wednesday under suspicious circumstances in his high-end car at Bowenpally area here.

Dr Raghavendra Rao had left his house at 9.30 am yesterday in Jeedimetla and his wife called him in the afternoon, but he did not pick up the phone after which his family members lodged a missing complaint with Petbasheerabad police last evening, Bowenpally Sub-Inspector B Srinivas said.

The doctor's car has a GPS facility and his son, who stays in US located the car in Bowenpally and based on his information police traced the car in which his body was found.

No injuries were found on the doctor's body, the SI said.

"Raghavendra worked as an HOD of ENT department at the private hospital. His phone was on and it had been ringing," the police officer said.

A case under section 174 CrPC was registered and further probe is on, he added.
