Hyderabad: Alliance Air Flight Faces Technical Snag Mid-Air; Later Cancelled

Hyderabad, August 24 - An Alliance Air flight from Hyderabad to Tirupati was cancelled on Sunday after the aircraft developed technical problems on two separate occasions.

The flight initially returned to Hyderabad airport due to a snag shortly after take-off. While the issue was resolved, the aircraft encountered another technical fault before it could depart again.

"The aircraft again developed another snag for which rectification took a little longer than expected. Due to this, and in order to avoid further disruption of flights, this sector has been cancelled," Alliance Air said in a statement.

This comes just days after another Alliance Air service from Guwahati to Kolkata made an emergency landing on August 20 following a mid-air technical fault. All 49 passengers on that flight landed safely.

The airline emphasised that passenger safety remains its highest priority, even if it means delays or cancellations.
