Fire Breaks Out At Park Hyatt Hotel In Hyderabad, Sunrisers Hyderabad Team Evacuated Safely

The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) IPL team was staying at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, when a fire broke out on Monday, April 14, 2025. A short circuit was identified as the cause of the incident, which happened in the spa's men's area on the first floor.​

Players and staff from SRH were on the sixth floor when the fire started. The local authorities and fire department were promptly notified by the hotel management. Firefighters quickly arrived and used the equipment at their disposal to put out the fire. Although there were no reported casualties or injuries, the thick smoke that permeated the building caused some mild panic among the staff and visitors.​

Under police supervision, the SRH team left the hotel in private buses after being safely evacuated. The team arrived on time, and the situation was brought under control with minimal damage, according to the Hyderabad District Fire Officer.

Although initial reports indicate that the fire was caused by a short circuit in the spa area, authorities are still looking into the cause of the incident.
