Hyd Pics: Fasting Jagan stable but ailing patients suffering in Andhra
Hyderabad, Oct 8: YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is well-known as Jagan, continues his fast which he has begun on Saturday, Oct 5. Doctors on Tuesday, Oct 8 informed that the YSR Congress chief is stable and his vital parameters are normal. The young leader has been protesting over his demand to Centre to review its decision on bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
Doctors' report on Jagan's health brought relief to his followers and supporters who were worried for their leader's health condition. However, ailing patients and other common men in the state have been suffering due to the power crisis which has hit Andhra recently.
At least 30,000 employees of power sector employees too has begun their strike protesting against the creation of separate Telangana out of Andhra. Patients, who are under treatment at different hospitals in the state, are suffering the most.
Essential health services across the state have been badly hit. Power cuts have hit King George Hospital, the only super-specialty government hospital in Vishakhapattanam and adjoining region. According to sources, most of the incubators are not working. Lack of air conditioners have affected patients with burn injuries and other such ailments.

Meanwhile, chief ministers of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala have sent letters to the central electricity authority warning of possible tripping in their states due to feared collapse of the southern grid.
Power cut has hit the industrial regions of the state. Many industrial establishments and shops are running on backup power. Drinking water supply, train services, petrol availability and hospital services are all badly hit. Several passenger and goods trains have been stranded in different railway stations across Andhra. 150 diesel locomotives are being used to run few passenger and express trains.
