Hyderabad, Nov 27: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief and former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday took a dig at Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for not visiting the state despite three cyclones hitting it in last one-and-half months.

The southern state is witnessing a tough time since mid-October when the powerful Cyclone Phailin left a devastating trail, damaging acres of agricultural land and houses. Last week, Cyclone Helen hit it and now the state is all geared up for Cyclone Lehar.

Naidu mocked the prime minister in his tweet, asking whether the latter could not manage time or whether party chief Sonia Gandhi did not allow him to visit the distressed people of coastal Andhra.

Is it lack of time or Sonia’s permission that keeps him away?</p>— N Chandrababu Naidu (@ncbn) <a href="https://twitter.com/ncbn/statuses/405562025406771201">November 27, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
