Chandrababu Naidu's Brother Ramamurthy Passes Away At 72
Ramamurthy Naidu, the younger sibling of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, passed away at 72. He had been battling a prolonged illness and was admitted to the hospital three days prior.
He was on a ventilator and passed away in Hyderabad at 12:45 pm today.

He was initially brought to AIG Hospital in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, on November 14 after suffering cardiac arrest. The final rites are scheduled for November 17 in Naravaripalle village.
Ramamurthy Naidu's political career included serving as an MLA for the Chandragiri constituency after winning the 1994 elections under the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) banner.
Family and Political Legacy
Ramamurthy Naidu is survived by his son, Nara Rohit, who is an actor and film producer trained at the New York Film Academy. Chandrababu Naidu shared his grief on Twitter with a photo of himself and his brother. "With a heavy heart, I inform everyone that my brother, former Chandragiri MLA Nara Rammurthy Naidu, has left us," he tweeted.
The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister expressed deep sorrow over his brother's death. "Rammurthy Naidu was a leader who served the people with a pure heart in public life. His departure has filled our family with immense sorrow. I pray that his soul will find peace," he added.
Condolences from Leaders
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also extended his condolences through Twitter. "The death of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's brother, former MLA Nara Rammurthy Naidu, is deeply shocking," he wrote. "Praying to God for his soul to rest in peace, I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family members."
Nara Lokesh, son of Chandrababu Naidu, expressed profound sadness over his uncle's demise. He tweeted about their close bond during childhood: "Memories of my childhood bond with him come flooding back, bringing tears to my eyes as I pay tribute to him."
A Time of Mourning
Lokesh described Ramamurthy as a pillar of strength for their family and urged everyone to remain strong during this difficult time. "My uncle, who was a pillar of visible strength for us all these years, will now remain an everlasting memory," he stated.
Dr Sudhakar K., Lok Sabha MP, offered condolences to Chandrababu Naidu as well. He said: "My deepest condolences to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Chandrababu Naidu on the sad demise of his beloved brother, Shri Ramamurthy Naidu garu."
The loss has deeply affected both family and colleagues alike. Dr Sudhakar K added: "Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time of grief. May the departed soul attain Sadgati. Om Shanti."
