In a bizarre and perilous episode, a clearly intoxicated man was spotted riding a camel along Hyderabad's busy PV Narasimha Rao Expressway, alarming passing motorists.

The unusual spectacle was filmed and uploaded to Instagram by Ikram Ullah Shah, who not only recorded the event but also followed the man and helped contain the potentially dangerous situation before any harm occurred.

The video shows a startling scene of the camel galloping down the expressway, with the inebriated rider barely clutching the reins and swaying dangerously near the edge of the road.

As the situation escalated, Ikram Ullah Shah drove alongside the camel, shouting at the rider to stop and alerting nearby drivers to keep a safe distance.

In a bid to bring the situation under control, Shah splashed water from a bottle onto the rider, who soon lost consciousness and slumped forward, allowing the camel to continue without a rider.

Following a tense and hazardous chase, Shah and his friend eventually succeeded in halting the camel by tying it to a streetlight, even as the man remained draped limply across its back.

When they attempted to help him down, the man was barely responsive, mumbling incoherently and showing clear signs of severe intoxication and disorientation.

Uploaded on 15 June, the video has since garnered over one million views. As it spread widely across social media, numerous users lauded Shah and his companion as heroes for their courageous efforts in averting what could have been a major accident on the heavily trafficked expressway.
