Andhra Pradesh Man Climbs Electric Pole, Lies On Wires After Argument With Mom

A drunk man climbed onto an electric pole and lay on the wires in M Singipuram village, Andhra Pradesh. The incident was caught on camera and the clip has gone viral.

As per the reports, the villagers, acting quickly, averted a disaster by switching off the power transformer. The incident, which took place on December 31, caused panic among the residents.

After turning off the power, the villagers convinced the man to come down safely. Police later registered a case against him.

The man is identified as Yajjala Venkanna, as per Deccan Chronicle. He is a habitual drinker who drunk heavily after a quarrel with his mother at a nearby liquor shop.

Drunken Brawl Turns Fatal in Nashik

In an unrelated incident in Nashik, Maharashtra, three men were arrested on January 1 for allegedly killing their 34-year-old friend, Laxman Gare, following a drunken argument.

The accused took Gare to a vacant plot on the night of December 31 to consume alcohol. Amid heated arguments over an old dispute, they attacked him with a stone. Gare was rushed to the civil hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Police have detained the accused and are investigating the matter.
