Andhra Girl Holds On To Pipe After Being Pushed Off Bridge By Mom's Partner, Dials Cops To Save Life
A girl was pushed off a bridge by her mother's live-in partner, but she saved herself as she clung onto a plastic pipe before dialling 100 for help from cops.
The 13-year-old is identified as Lakshmi Sai Keerthana and the accused is Ulava Suresh. The incident occurred in Konaseema district in Andhra.

Andhra Police has shared the news on its Twitter account. "#Dial 100-#APPolice saves a girl hanging from the flyover at midnight: Today at 3:50 AM, a man resident of Tadepalli pushed a girl, her mother&sister from Ravulapalem Gautami Bridge. The girl dialled 100 to save her by holding onto the plastic pipe of the bridge," he said.
The cops reached the spot within 10 minutes after the girl called the police for help.
"While she was falling into the water. With the information received, Ravulapalem PS cops reached the location within 10 min. By that time the girl was found hanging from the pipeline of the #bridge in a very dangerous situation. The cops immediately rescued her," it said.
The statement added, "Cops formed 2 teams,one to search the girl's mother&sister who fell in Godavari with the boats, the other to search for the accused & the operations are underway. #DGP Shri K.V Rajendranath Reddy IPS, appreciates @KonaseemaPolice for timely response&saving a girl's life."
As per the reports, her mother's partner pushed her mother off the bridge into the Godavari river and her one-year-old sister Jersey. However, she managed to save herself. However, both mother and sister are missing.
Suresh met the girl's mother Prakasam district, three years ago. According to cops, he has fathered one of her three children.
"Suresh, who is living with my mother, took us to Rajamahendravaram. He stopped the car on Ravulapalem Bridge, on the pretext of taking a selfie, and pushed the three of us into the Godavari river," India Today quoted Keerthana as telling the police.
