₹33-Crore Hafeezpet Railway Station Upgrade Nears Completion, Opening Soon with Modern Facilities

Hafeezpet railway station in Hyderabad is set to become one of the city's modern railway hubs, with redevelopment works worth ₹33 crore nearing completion. The upgraded station, equipped with enhanced passenger facilities and improved accessibility features, is expected to be inaugurated soon.

Redevelopment Project Almost Complete

Union Coal Minister G. Kishan Reddy announced that the redevelopment of Hafeezpet railway station has reached its final stage, with nearly 99 per cent of the work completed. Sharing an update on X, the minister said the station has been transformed with state-of-the-art infrastructure aimed at providing a better travel experience for commuters.

In his post, Reddy said, "Hafeezpet railway station in Hyderabad city has been beautifully redeveloped with modern facilities. The redevelopment works, undertaken at a cost of nearly ₹33 crore to provide passengers with better and international-standard amenities, are almost 99 per cent complete. The station will be inaugurated soon."

Modern Infrastructure Added Across the Station

As part of the redevelopment initiative, several new facilities have been introduced to improve passenger convenience and accessibility. A 12-metre-wide Foot Over Bridge equipped with ramps has been constructed to facilitate smoother movement within the station premises.

The project also includes platform shelters, modern toilet facilities, a renovated station building, an upgraded circulating area, reconstructed platforms, new signboards, and the installation of two lifts and escalators.

Focus on Passenger Comfort and Accessibility

According to the minister, the redevelopment has been designed with a strong focus on enhancing commuter convenience. The upgraded infrastructure is expected to improve accessibility for passengers while creating a more efficient and comfortable railway environment.

Officials believe the improvements will support the growing number of rail users in the region and strengthen Hyderabad's transport network.

Station Opening Expected Soon

While the station is ready for operations in most respects, authorities have not yet announced a specific inauguration date. Once formally opened, the redeveloped Hafeezpet railway station is expected to offer significantly improved facilities and a modern travel experience for daily commuters and visitors alike.
