Tarun Gogoi hits out at Modi, says latter forgot his promises

and said that the Centre had deceived the people of Assam.

Gogoi, who was addressing a press conference on Friday said that the promises made by Narendra Modi before the Lok Sabha elections were missing in the Union Budget that was presented in the Parliament today.

The Union Budget did not offer anything to the state," he said. Gogoi added that BJP and Modi had charged Manmohan Singh of doing nothing for the state. "BJP promised to give the people of Assam but but didn't offer anything in the Budget," he added.

He alleged that the promises made by Modi were only before polls and that he had forgotten those promises.
