However, the ED which wanted some details questioned him and during that he gave all possible proof stating he was not involved and even said that he would give up all the money that he had earned from the Saradha group.

Learn from Mithun:

Enforcement Directorate officials who questioned Mithun say that they are convinced that he is not involved in the scam. He said that he had earned around Rs 1.76 crore for hosting a political chat show on the Channel 10.

While submitting all the records, CDs and other relevant material, he had told the ED that he had no intention of cheating anyone. This was a chat show that I was roped in for he said while also showing proof of the payment made to him.

I will give back all that money that I earned so that it could be used to pay off those depositors who have lost their hard earned money due to this scam, Mithun also told the ED.

I never had any bad intention and if I did I would have quietly parked away the money elsewhere. But the money is right here and I would like it to be used to pay off the depositors Mithun also told the ED.

ED is convinced:

ED officials say that they are convinced with what Mithun had told them. He has assured of all help in the probe. The ED also examined all the material and other relevant documents that he had provided them with.

Mithun had also told the CBI earlier that his relationship with the Saradha group was strictly professional in nature. I got a sum of Rs 1.76 crore to host a political chat show on Channel 10.

The money trail also was very transparent and Mithun had provided all possible details of the same. It was a bank transfer made by the Bengal Media Private Limited, a Saradha owned group.
