Pics: Siachen 'braveheart' soldier Lance Naik Hanumanthappa’s last journey

Bengaluru, Feb 12: Thousands of people have already gathered at the home of India's Siachen hero Lance Naik Hanumathappa Koppad, who breathed his last at Army's R&R Hospital in Delhi.

After battling for life for almost 10 days, Siachen 'braveheart' soldier Lance Naik Hanumanthappa passed away on Thursday at 11.45 am, while undergoing treatment.

Lance Naik Koppad had spent six days buried under ice at the Siachen Glacier. Koppad and 9 other soldiers were hit by the massive avalanche in the early hours of February 3.
