In Pics: Rahul Gandhi's 'Kisan Yatra': 2,500 Km, 3,500 Khats, 250 Mini-raths and more

Rahul Gandhi's month-long 'Kisan Yatra' from Deoria to Delhi, covering a total of 2,500 kilometers, started on September 6. During this time, the party plans to undertake large-scale mobilisation of workers in about 225 Assembly constituencies, according to a report by the Indian Express.

The party is said to have released 250 mini-raths, carrying 1,600 workers' kit, comprising publicity material, workers' handbook, apart from 'kisan maangpatra' or charters of farmers' demands. Intended to uphold the "voice of farmers", the Yatra is expected to target about 4 lakh party workers.

Close to 1.5 lakh party workers have been assigned to reach out to the districts that fall in Rahul's yatra route and gain maximum support before Rahul reaches for the Khaat Panchayat for a one-on-one discussion with the farmers in those districts.

The yatra is scheduled to conclude on Oct 5.
