Raipur, Nov 1: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday visited Chhattisgarh to inaugurate the 16th foundation day celebrations of the state, which was carved out of Madhya Pradesh.
Prime Minister unveiled the statue of Jan Sangh idealogue Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay and also inaugurated the Jungle Safari park developed in an area of 320-hectares in Naya Raipur, the upcoming capital of the state.
A multi-layered security blanket was pplaced into service in the city in view of the his visit.
