Trichy, Sept 26: As the BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi addressed power-packed rally in Trichy, Tamil Nadu, we present some crucial points that if Tamil superstar Rajinikanth comes in full support of Modi, then, what it can mean for the BJP.

In South, Rajinikanth is reverred as "God" by his lakhs of fans. Just imagine, if Rajinikanth, urges all the people to vote for NDA in upcoming general elections!

Four factors that why Rajinikanth's support can help BJP to come to power in the South:

1. Muslims votes from Tamil Nadu: Out of Tamil Nadu's total population, only 7% constitutes the Muslims. So, in such case, if Rajini, once asks people of TN to vote for BJP, then, may be 7% of Muslim votes can be garnered with surety.

You must be thinking that what is the link of Muslim votes with Rajini's support to the BJP. Then, it may be reminded that during another South superstar Kamal Hasan's movie, Vishwaroopam, Rajinikanth had urged Muslim groups to allow a peaceful release
of his film and withdraw their protest.

25 Muslim organisations had objected to Kamal's movie on the ground that it portrayed the community in bad light. Even, the Madras High Court had restricted the film's release till Jan 28.

After Rajinikanth's steadfast support to Kamal Hasan, finally, the film was released in movie halls across Tamil Nadu.

2. Huge fan-base of Rajinikanth: This is a fact that in terms of huge-fan-following, Rajinikanth is undoubtedly the most popular actor and among politicians, Narendra Modi has become the most popular politicians today.

It is said that in South, if Rajinikanth's character dies in any movie, then his disappointed fans get the climax of the film changed! So, in such a scenario, it is impossible that Rajini fans can disaapoint Modi by not voting for him.

3. Rajini- The "God" of the South: Rajinikanth's fan following is not only in his home state-Tamil Nadu, but he has his ardent fans in all the southern states including Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. So, if Rajini lends his support to Modi, then BJP can have high chances to come to power in the South India.
