(In pics) May the 'Vikram'(aditya) in you live long: Modi to soldiers
Panaji, June 14: It was not a regular day for the men in white uniforms on INS Vikramaditya with the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on board.
Modi too shared the same emotion as he expressed his sense of pride on the way the vessel functions and the various aircraft that lined it. He could not but appreciate the sacrifice of the soldiers and said,"I came directly to you after assuming office. This shows my priority and the government's priority of doing something for the sacrifices you have made."

Speaking of the importance of having indigenous weapons, Modi said," we have to come out of the cycle of imports. What is the point in importing when we have the brains and the resources to build our own security systems. Our step toward this should be set as an example before the countries that aspire to be independent security-wise."
