(Pics) Durga Shakti to Muzaffarnagar: Akhilesh can begin countdown

Lucknow, Sept 18:Of what it seems, the UP government's administration has now been taken over by the sand mafia or hatemongers who take the liberty of causing riots in the city. In fact, the Allahabad High court's Lucknow bench has direct the Akhilesh government to file all communal riots under his regime since he was sworn-in March 15, 2012.

But, does that mark the beginning of the end for the Akhilesh government? Perhaps, the downfall had begun long back since the sand-mafia expose when an honest IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal was falsely implicated and suspended.

The Akhilesh government's stand on honesty and the sand mafia was clear even then when the District Magistrate's statement on Durga was not taken into consideration. Despite pressure from the media, the people and the government, Akhilesh Yadav and SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav did not relent.

That was not all, despite glaring footage of one of their party members Narendra Singh Bhati, declaring that he was behind the suspension of Durga Shakti, that too within 40 minutes, the Akhilesh government sat mum.

The wheel of time has come to a full cycle. Its communal riots now, the very reason why Durga was wrongly suspended, that has surrounded Akhilesh and his party members with controversies. Again, there are footage of SP leaders delivering hatespeech and a few storming the Assembly, challenging the police to arrest them if they can, and yet again Akhilesh government projects a sorry face to judge and act.

Meanwhile, there is the opposition that demands President's rule in the state, given the lack of law and order, despite Akhilesh's failed attempts to pin the hands behind the communal riots. So, do we call it a countdown for the Akhilesh government? It's a wait and watch situation.
