(Pics) B'lore: Modi rally impresses the mass
Bangalore, Nov 18: Narendra Modi, the man of the mass, has impressed the Chhattisgarians; Gujarat is already in book of well-wishers. But this time, it was Bangalore that held him close to the heart. Let us not talk about his supporters, but common man. True that the Karnataka government showed great administrative prowess, but rally organizers gave their best to make the rally successful.
Many would question the party's strategy of collecting entry fee of Rs 10 (as there always have been discourses relating that), but let us not forget that the money is going for a social cause. Accompanied by BJP President Rajnath Singh and Ananth Kumar, Modi was presented a cheque of Rs 35 lakhs that was collected as entry fee.
Interestingly, it served 2 purposes-the money can now be used for the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel statue in Gujarat and secondly one can estimate that close to 3 lakh people attended the meeting.
"He has given more"
If the statue is not enough of a social cause for us, there is more. Considering the expanse and the stretch of the city, the party offered to pick up and drop people from their homes to the venue and vice versa. Not only that, people were served food too. And the best part was All were welcome!
Meena, who works as a daily wage labourer said,"We got pick-ups and drops and the entire experience was fantastic. Modiji is a powerful speaker and more than anything else, he is the man of the mass, thinking about everyone."
The others like her too were very enthusiastic about the probably Prime Minister. In fact, one of them even said," he will do good as a leader. He knows what we want. Moreover, he has given more than he has taken. Rs 10 does not match its worth."
