Onion vs Petrol: Can seer Shobhan help?

Bangalore, Oct 22: The competition is extremely tough...both the sides are in heavy demand, each overpowering the other at the slightest scope. No, this is neither cricket nor wrestling we are talking about. Neither are we talking about election results.

This is the tough competition between the petrol and the onion prices.

The last hike in Petrol price was registered on September 13, 2013 when it increased by Rs 1.63 per litre adding to Rs 70-80 per litre in various parts of the country. Interestingly that was the seventh hike since June this very year.

Onion prices too showed an increase in the prices with Rs 60 or 70 per Kg in the month of September. Despite forecasts that the prices would increase further, there was still hope that the government would be functional in minimizing imports and reducing the Minimum Export prices.
