Narendra Modi's Mother pays him Visit at 7 RCR
On the 26th of May Prime Minister Narendra Modi will complete two years in power. He won the historic mandate on the 16th of May 2014 whereby he went on to form the first majority government after India witnessed coalition government for 30 long years.
PM Modi yesterday spend quality time with his 96 year old mother for the first time at his official residence after becoming PM.
PM Modi took to Twitter to share some pictures of him with his mother Heeraba from his personal Twitter account.
My mother returns to Gujarat. Spent quality time with her after a long time & that too on her 1st visit to RCR. pic.twitter.com/2n5ZT2C4PC— Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) May 15, 2016
The workaholic PM is very close to his mother. PM Modi's mother resides with his youngest brother in Gujarat.
Prime Minister Modi had visited his mother on his birthday on the 17th of September 2014 to seek her blessings. Certain section of media had dragged his mother into controversy and questioned PM as to why he had not invited her to the dinner he had hosted for visiting Chinese President later in the day that same day.
Certain section of media had termed PM visiting his mother as photo opportunity. This must would have been the reason as to why PM has not been visiting her or at least informing all about his visit.
The visit by PM's mother to his official residence shows the strong bond they share. PM Modi in gray tshirt and black pants showed his mother who was seated on a wheelchair, the green garden of 7RCR.
In one of the pic PM is offering her a glass while they are seated on a sofa. Worth noting here is the point that when Heeraba visited 7 RCR she became the first mother of a serving PM to visit PM's official residence.
PM has often talked about his humble beginning and how his mother had faced tough times to make ends meet. PM had expressed his feelings candidly when he had talked to Facebook Founder Mark Zukerberg during Facebook Townhall question and answer session in the US September last year.
