Congress copying Modi? Party puts Patel on first page of magazine Sandesh, places Indira at last

Embarrassed after Prime Minister Narendra Modi hijacked its legacy, the Congress party in its new edition of magazine Sandesh has given more importance to Patel than its beloved leader Indira Gandhi.
Congress magazine gave prominence to Sardar
According to the dainikbhaskar report, the party has tried to give message that first Home Minister is their legacy and they have not forgotten him at all. The party acknowledges his contribution in uniting the country.
The report says that the party has put up Patel on first page while Gandhi whose birth anniversary coincided with the first Home Minister was pushed at the end of the Magazine. Reportedly, party has heaped praise on Patel on his139th birth anniversary, saying that he along with first Prime Minister wrote the future of the India.
Writing about Indira Gandhi on her death anniversary, party wrote that she was the one who gave befitting reply to Pakistan and also played important role in creation of Bangladesh after 1971 war.
Meanwhile, the Congress leader Randeep Surjewala has denied that party has intentionally done this.
Congress on its course correction path...on Modi's foodprint
Report says that Congress is planning to make first Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru's birth anniversary as gala affair. Already on back foot after Modi stole all their big legacies like Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel, now party doesn't want to give BJP any scope to score on that front. The party is planning public pledge on Nehru's birth anniversary which falls on November 14.
Earlier both BJP and Congress sparred over Indira Gandhi on October 31 when Prime Minister bestowed more importance to Sardar and gave a miss to Indira Gandi's death anniversary.
BJP, congress sparred over Indira Gandhi earlier
Congress termed as "disgusting" and "petty-minded" the way the Narendra Modi Government marked the death anniversary of Indira Gandhi while the ruling BJP wondered if that party prefers to see history through the "perspective" of Nehru-Gandhi family.
"It is petty-minded, it is partisan and disrespectful to those who gave their lives to their country, particularly Indira Gandhi who gave hers for the unity of this country," Deputy Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha Anand Sharma said.
He further added that it showed Modi and BJP for what they are. Sharma said it was "ironical" that Modi was flagging off 'Run for Unity' and not even mentioning "the supreme sacrifice of one of the greatest leaders of our times".
Refuting the allegations of Congress leaders, Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu said there was no question of belittling the importance of any leader while stressing that Patel should be a role model for all. "There is no question of belittling the importance of any leader...Every leader has their place in history. There is no question of denying that. But Sardar Patel is one of the top most leaders who was a freedom fighter, unifier of India...who should be role model for all," he said.
