Winner: Jayant Chaudhary (RLD)/PT Shyam Sunder Pacchara of the Trinamool Congress won the seat in a 2012 bypoll after Jayant Chaudhary resigned after winning the election. He defeated Yogesh Chaudhary by 6,604 votes.
