Karnataka elections: Hebbal Vidhan Sabha Seat

Hebbal is located in the North zone was once marked as city limit or end point of Bengaluru once. Anand Nagar, Geddalahalli are the areas covered by Hebbal constitution.

Previously Hebbal was completely endowed by calm and serene environment, it stayed away from the cities hustle and bustle but now the entire picture has changed, it has become the prime location for the active growth of the city. Several IT companies such as MRO Tech AstraZeneca and Integra Micro Software Services are established here.

The Embassy Manyata Business Park situated next to Nagawara Lake along Outer Rind road is one of the biggest technology and Business Park in the Silicon Valley. This business park homes reputed IT companies like Philips Software and IBM. The famous Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has its corporate office established over here.

The famous Hebbal Lake situated in this area is a favorite picnic spot to the residents in and around Hebbal as well. Many government organization like Karnataka Agro Industries Corporation, Institute of Veterinary Biologicals, University of Agricultural Science, Veterinary College, Mahatma Gandhi Polytechnic and office of Directorate of Biological Control are established. Along with government sector this area homes several industries, prestigious educational institution, reputed hospitals, shopping malls.

The current MLA is YA Narayanaswamy from BJP and he defeated CK Abdul Rahman Shariff of Congress.
