Karnataka: Bommanahalli Assembly Seat

Bommanahalli is a locality in Bengaluru and one of the zones of BBMP. It is located adjacent to Hosur Road National Highway 7 and is a neighbor of the IT capital of the country -Electronics City. Nine wards of BBMP come under this constituency. They are HSR Layout, Bommanahalli, Jaraganahalli, Puttenhalli, Bilekahalli, Hongasandra, Mangamanapalya, Singasandra and Arekere.

HSR Layout, short for Hosur-Sarjapur Road Layout, is a relatively new suburb located in south-east Bengaluru, India. It has become a gateway to Electronic City, a major IT hub of the city. HSR Layout has emerged as a posh locality of Bengaluru with wide streets, parks and all modern civic amenities. Like many residential areas in Bangalore, HSR Layout is divided into Sectors (Sectors 1 through 7), which are criss-crossed by main roads and cross roads.

The Puttenahalli in South Bangalore which is part of JP Nagar phases 6 and 7 (Bommanahalli Constituency) is often confused with Puttanahalli in North Bangalore which is next to Yelahanka Town on the way to Kempegowda International Airport.

Sathish Reddy M of BJP is the current MLA and he won against Nagabhushana C of Congress.
