Intolerant India? Why Aamir Khan should answer these 5 questions
Finally superstar Aamir Khan too joined bandwagon of rising intolerance in India. It is almost unbelievable that Khan who has been applauded for his movies and lots of social works made such a 'childish' statement. I will later explain why his statement falls into category of 'childish' statement.
Intolerance: After SRK, Salman, Aamir Khan too breaks silence, gets slammed; here's why
First here is gist of what all he said about intolerance in India. While speaking at the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards, PK star said that he has been alarmed by a number of such incidences recently. Virtually supporting those returning their awards, Khan further said that once his wife Kiran Rao had said that she was thinking of moving out of the country.
50 year old actor said, "When I chat with Kiran at home, she says 'Should we move out of India?' That's a disastrous and big statement for Kiran to make. She fears for her child. She fears about what the atmosphere around us will be. She feels scared to open the newspapers every day.
"That does indicate that there is this sense of growing disquiet, there is growing despondency apart from alarm. You feel why this is happening, you feel low. That sense does exist in me," he said.
Here are five questions which Aamir Khan needs to answer before raising finger at Modi government.
Where
is
intolerance
in
India?
When
he
opined
so
strongly
about
recent
rise
in
animosity
between
people
of
various
religions,
he
should
substantiate
it
further.
Aamir
Khan
must
explain
why
he
suddenly
started
feeling
insecurity
within
his
own
country.
Dadri
like
incidents
was
off-course
shameful
but
one
can't
measure
the
tolerance
level
of
the
country
on
the
basis
of
some
of
the
unfortunate
incidents.
Moreover,
such
incident
is
still
under
investigation
and
one
is
not
considered
prudent
to
comment
on
the
issue
which
is
subjudice.
Did
you
face
any
such
incidence?
As
an
icon,
Khan
should
explain
people,
whether
he
himself
felt
any
discrimination
as
a
Muslim
actor.
Over
the
years
he
matures
as
an
actor
and
earned
name
and
fame
in
the
country.
If
he
would
have
been
discriminated
in
the
country,
he
might
not
be
such
a
big
star
in
the
country.
India
which
has
majority
of
Hindu
population
made
him
so
big.
India
one
of
the
most
tolerant
country
in
the
world,
isn't
it?
It
is
proven
fact
that
India
is
one
of
the
most
tolerant
country
in
the
world.
Aamir
himself
would
have
felt
this.
People
of
all
religions
live
with
harmony
and
peace
here.
Take
an
example
of
Pakistan,
China
where
one
can't
raise
their
voice
as
freely
as
in
India.
Aamir
must
have
fair
idea
how
Hindus
are
treated
in
Pakistan,
but
he
never
raise
his
voice
against
it.
Why
didn't
he
raise
issue
during
Congress
regime?
Aamir
Khan
is
known
face
since
20-30
years
now.
There
are
lots
of
such
incidences
(falls
into
category
of
intolerance)
happened
earlier
during
Congress
regime
but
he
maintained
stoic
silence
over
them.
What
really
happened
in
last
5-6
months
since
Modi
Government
came
to
power.
Is
current
situation
worse
than
Congress-led
UPA
regime?
Aamir Khan must do some research about what Congress did in these 60-70 years since country got independence. Congress regime and its track record on every front I.e incidents of communal violence, corruption and scam is well known to all.
Is
this
a
stunt
to
grab
limelight?
Aamir
Khan
is
big
star
and
iconic
figure.
Why
not
he
said
that
if
country
has
any
such
issue,
Government
should
address
the
same.
If
one
face
any
differences
within
house,
one
talk
with
mother
or
father
about
the
issue.
One
never
talks
about
leaving
the
house,
which
helped
him
to
grow
as
better
human
being.
If
country
has
any
such
issue,
Aamir
as
an
responsible
citizens
of
India
should
act
with
little
more
maturity.
Talking
about
leaving
the
country
which
has
given
him
so
much
is
utter
nonsense
and
is
shameful
on
the
part
of
Khan.
