Indore-Patna Express tragedy: Railways issues helpline numbers, provides constant updates on Twitter
Indian Railways issues helpline numbers for the kith and kin of the injured and the dead.
The death toll in the Indore-Patna express tragedy accounts to 128 and is likely to cross the same because many people are critically injured.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu took cognizance of the situation. The latter, in fact visited the site and supervised the rescue operations personally.
Meanwhile, the railway ministry issued helpline numbers, assuring assistance to all calls made by the kin of the passengers.

The Ministry of Railways pressed into action immediately after the accident. Suresh Prabhu too could be seen active on Twitter, providing information to the kith and kin of the passengers.
Also, updates on the rescue operations and measures taken to relieve the injured were constantly posted on Twitter.
