Bangalore, Sept 20: India's Jitu Rai bagged a gold medal at the Men's 50M Pistol shooting event at the 17th Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea on Saturday, whereas Shweta Chaudhry won a Bronze medal at the 10M Air Pistol Women's team shooting event.
Tropical Storm Fung-Wong that brought torrential monsoon rains which flooded much of the Philippine capital gained strength and battered the country's northernmost provinces on Saturday with heavy downpours and strong winds.
The national disaster agency reported that more than half a million people were affected by the storm in metropolitan Manila and nearby provinces, forcing close to 90,000 people to evacuate.
