Bengaluru, Nov 1: A passenger rocket plane developed by Virgin Galactic's crashed on Friday after suffering an "in-flight anomaly" during a powered test flight over the US state of California, the company said.

"SpaceShipTwo has experienced an in-flight anomaly. Additional info and statement forthcoming," Xinhua quoted Virgin as saying on Twitter, giving no further details.

Meanwhile, Canada has joined Australia in suspending entry visas for people from Ebola-stricken countries in West Africa in an attempt to keep the deadly disease away.

Canada's Conservative government said it is suspending visa applications for residents and nationals of countries with "widespread and persistent-intense transmission" of Ebola virus disease.
