Israeli President visits India.
Israeli President Reuven Rivlin arrived in New Delhi yesterday for a six-day visit to India.
He is the first Israeli head to have visited India in the past 20 years. Indeed, a positive sign when it comes to the partnership between the two nations. The last Israeli president to visit India was Ezer Weizman, in January 1997.

Rivlin is accompanied by a large business delegation and his itinerary includes Agra, Karnal, Chandigarh and Mumbai.
In a joint press meet today, Israel and India reflected upon their growing proximity and decided to further "broad-base" their defence partnership and intensify cooperation in combating radicalisation and extremism, while calling upon global community to act tough against terror networks and States harbouring them.
