Bhopal, Nov 2: The 8 SIMI operatives who escaped from the Bhopal central jail on Monday, 31st November have been killed in an encounter at Einthkedi village on the outskirts of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

They have been identified as Sheikh Mujeeb, Khaled, Aqeel, Majid, Zaqir Hussain, Mohammad Saliq, Sheikh Mehboob and Amjad.

Immediately after the escape, the Madhya Pradesh police swung into action and tracked the operatives down. They were planning their escape out of the state but were cornered at the Einthkedi village on the outskirts of Bhopal.
