As the Congress is presently going through the toughest phase it ever faced, it has reportedly brought Priyanka Gandhi on-board to save its sinking ship.

The year 2014 has been one of the most toughest years for the Congress in which it has lost the popular support among the masses.

With two back-to-back books by the party's former loyalists, the party's image faced a dent and in a damage control exercise, party chief Sonia Gandhi announced that she will pen down her own tell-all book to reveal the truth and to counter the allegations.

67-year-old Sonia said, "I will write my own book and then everyone will know the truth. The only way the truth will come out is if I write. I am serious about this."

Currently, the Congress rules in 8 states- Arunachal Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Manipur, Meghalaya and Mizoram.

Experts believe that Priyanka's official entry to the party would boost Congress and might help the party to regain lost glory in the politics of the country.

As the assembly elections are scheduled to be held in four states later this year in four states- Maharashtra, Delhi, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Congress may have to find out an early solution to its woes and start from the scratch to emerge as winner in the upcoming assembly polls.
