Rajendra Kumar Ranjit Singh Chavda has been nominated as the BJP candidate for the Himatnagar assembly seat. Mr.Kumar was born on February 11, 1966, in Ahmedabad. He is the son of Ranjit Singh Narsingh. The 51-year-old candidate had contested for the Congress party in 2012 Gujarat assembly. But in 2014, he resigned from the Congress and joined BJP.

In the by-elections held, Rajendrabhai registered a victory. According to myneta.in, he has a diploma in engineering. Agriculture and trading are his professions.
