Dinesh M. Kacchadiya has been named the Congress candidate from Surat North constituency. Dinesh M. Kacchadiya is the son of Manubhai Kacchadiya and has studied till 12th in I.C. Gandhi High school, Surat.

He is a Councillor in Surat Municipal Corporation. He had contested the 2012 assembly elections but lost to BJP candidate Ajaykumar Jashvantlal Choksi. According to myneta.info, Dinesh declared Rs 12,27,15,000 worth assets in 2012. He has no criminal cases against him. He is well-known businessman and builder in his hometown Surat.
