Gujarat elections: BJP candidate from Sojitra constituency- Vipulbhai Vinubhai Patel

Vipulbhai Vinubhai Patel from Bharatiya Janata Party has filed nomination papers from Sojitra Constituency in the upcoming Gujarat assembly elections 2017.

Sojitra is a village in Anand district. The village is home to several schools, including Smt. H.J. Patel Primary School for Girls, inaugurated by the Governor of Gujarat in 2006 and The M.M. High School and Library.

Sojitra also has a number of temples dedicated to different deities of Hindu and Jain faiths.

Apart from this, the most notable and prodigal son of Sojitra is Dr Yogendra Kumar Makwana, who went to become home minister in Indira Gandhi's cabinet. He held various portfolios ranging from home to communications, steel and mines.

The current MLA is Punambhai Madhabhai Parmar from Congress party. He won tht elections in 2012 by 65210 votes.
